My name is Laem - full name Charleamchai Matura - and I own and manage Khao Sok Private Tours and organise everything for you.
I have worked in in different tourism-related jobs all over Thailand for over 20 years and speak English fluently. I discovered that I wanted to work in eco-friendly tourism when I became a rescue diver.

We love to share our knowledge of the history of this incredibly beautiful area, as well as the local lifestyle and the stunningly beautiful national park with its diverse wildlife.
We have developed several different tours to show you the most special places we know.
Whatever we do, you will have a real experience with a true local guide.
We carry spare binoculars, and pay attention to what you want. We are here for you!!!

I grew up in the Khao Sok National Park area. I was born exactly in the heart of what is now the dam and reservoir - the Cheow Laan Lake. Our original village is in fact underwater.
As our tours have grown, that same passion has inspired me to choose and peresonally train a small but dedicated team of local guides who share the same spirit of hospitality and care.
Today, while I continue to oversee every detail and personally train our team, your tour may be led by one of our talented local guides — each bringing their own stories, smiles, and deep connection to the land as well as the warmth, care, and deep local knowledge that make our tours special.
I was inspired to use my experience to do something for my village and community. By doing this in a back-to-the-roots, eco-tourism style, it enables me to look after my home and share our world with you.
And you are helping to create meaningful opportunities for the next generation of local guides — keeping the spirit
of Khao Sok alive and its community strong for years to come.
We do things differently from other tours.
• We only offer private tours
• We carry fist aid kits.
• We carry an emergency radio in case there is no phone signal
• We also try to stay away from other groups as much as possible. Sometimes we adjust a tour a little (change of hiking trail or kayaking location) to avoid other groups to make sure we are alone.
